Ode to I.D.

Here is the story behind this dream catcher.  I watch a lot of Investigation Discovery TV and I think my brain has been overloaded with shows about serial killers and murder.  Plus if you know me I'm a bit twisted already.  I saw these dolls at a dollar store and my brain kicked me and said "HEY! You need to use those doll heads in a craft."  And so I did and here it is.

I used a 8" ring and wrapped it with strips cut from an Ace bandage.  The webbing has red glass seed beads woven into a spiral pattern.  Each doll head has a different method of....um torture applied.  I'm selling this beauty for $50.

Don't look it's a surprise

Trick or Treat

Slip on your costume and touch up your scary make-up.  Then it's time to grab your bag and head out the door to go trick or treating for the mother load of free candy.

The streets are filled with ghosts and goblins, ninjas and fairy princesses.  House porches are a glow with carved pumpkins.

If you look up into the moon you might see a witch flying across.  But just make sure the person standing next to you holding out a bag is not a real monster.

This was made with a 8" ring wrapped in black with black webbing.  The beads are called Halloween mix by In Bloom and the buttons are just some Halloween themed ones I had around the house.  This dream catcher is selling for $45.

Spooky Moon Dream Catcher

Close up #1

It's all hallows eve and the moon is out.  While trick or treating you look up and think you see something passing over the moon.  Your eyes could be playing tricks on you or maybe you're having a sugar induced hallucination.

I started with a 5" moon shaped ring and wrapped it with black, then added yellow highlights.  The webbing has opaque yellow luster and clear with silver glass seed beads.  Then using black 22ga. wire I added the flying glitter ghost and bats.

Close up #2

I forgot what a pain it is to do these moon shaped dream catchers but I'm happy with the end product.  This one is priced at $40 and is for sale.

Finished Projects (almost lol)

I finished the Christmas scarf I was working on, and I've just about decided to go to the store and get one more skein to add to it.

This is a Christmas star ornament I crocheted up, I need to pin it down and spray starch it so it will keep it's shape.

Zombies and Crafting

No pictures to add to this post just a little FYI of what I'm doing.  To get ready for the next Resident Evil movie coming out on Sept. 15th I am watching 1 through 4 while working on some Halloween crafts.  Then seasons 1 and 2 of The Walking Dead.  After that just more zombie movies.  I figured watching zombies while I'm working on Halloween crafts would be great for inspiration.

So what's your favorite zombie movie?  Let's see if you name one I haven't seen.
